Board's Honey Farm
Member since 2012
“Since 1974, we have been keeping bees in the North and we believe that the honeybee is an amazing creature,” says Ann. Beginning with 2 modest hives, the enterprise has grown to 300 colonies situated along the pristine 50 kilometer Almaquin/ Nipissing corridor. Groups and individuals are welcomed at the Honey Farm to informally observe bees, or to perhaps attend an informative workshop and become more familiar with the “amazing creatures” that have captivated the Board family for almost 40 years. Because bees play a critical role in human survival and planetary health, Ann’s comment is meaningful and inspiring: “If we look after the bees, they will look after us.”
