“Our 50 acre farm is located near the southern shores of Lake Huron, which gives us an excellent micro-climate for growing some amazing tender fruit,” explains Rod when discussing the family’s extensive orchard operation. Apples, specially blended apple cider and seasonal garden vegetables round out the produce destined for the market. Always keen to expand the selection of fruits in order to please their customers, quinces have been introduced and in the near future pawpaw and hascap berries will be harvest-ready. Forest Hill Orchard’s team is a longtime and wellreceived participant at the Kitchener market.
