Randy Leitch
“It's addictive. Looking after bees is something that gets into your blood,” says Randy Leitch. His own love affair with beekeeping began at a 4-H Club 34 years ago & he is currently managing some 250 hives each with a possible yield of 100-150 pounds of honey. Randy attributes the unique, robust taste of his honey to the abundant floral sources of the Niagara Escarpment. Passionate about the health benefits of hive products, Randy advises that “a spoonful of honey before bed ensures sleep & nourishes the brain.”
