Scott and Steacy den Haan
“The focus of Primeridge Pure is to present a final product that is fresh, safe and healthy,” explains Steacy when describing the goals of the farm business initiated in 2008. Scott had strong dairy farming roots and he and Steacy shared a determination to create a successful small-farm enterprise. Scott’s interest in herd management led him to seek further experience in Western Canada and Steacy pursued and achieved Artisan Cheese-maker certification. Today, their Friesian cattle thrive under Scott’s supervision and the milk is immediately pasteurized in the on-site facility where Steacy creates and prepares the unique Primeridge Pure cheeses that have become popular favourites with consumers throughout the region.
