Bruce Weir/Gillian Proudfoot

Bruce grew up on a farm using organic methods and after a 30 year hiatus from the lifestyle felt he had to return to his roots. A search of eighteen months led to a property outside of Warkworth. Although it had not been farmed in over 20 years, its soil tested amazingly well for organic matter and composition. We have spent more than a year preparing an acre and a half, cover cropping continuously and starting our perennial plantings. With no chemical fertilizer, pesticide or herbicide use for over 20 years (if ever) the 11 acres gives us a great start on bringing healthy and great tasting offerings to our customers.
