“In our busy season we keep 42 people working full-time and almost half of those are offshore workers who contribute directly to the local economy,” says Jim Warner. Jim and his wife Mary have gradually grown their 100-acre orchard to include a 5-acre vegetable garden, 4 children and 9 grandchildren. Growing since 1970, Jim and Mary listen to their consumers: their vegetable market garden is a direct response to customer requests. No wonder this couple enjoys such strong local support!
