Margaret Carson
"I love to search out rare and unusual varieties to try in the garden. Heirloom vegetables are packed with flavour," says Margaret Carson. A former social worker, Margaret can attest to the value of "horticulture therapy." Her native and heirloom plant and seed company supports food security and protection of wild species through production and promotion of genetically diverse seed stocks. Margaret hopes to increase the availability of organic, native and heirloom seeds in Canada through her online business. Her passion for native plants and locally-adapted seeds stems from a sustainable approach to living: native plants save human, water and fossil fuel resources!
