Andrew Vokes
“Nature’s my boss at the moment,” says Andrew Vokes. After years of planning, saving, studying and completing a recent farm apprenticeship, Andrew is living a long-held dream to grow healthy food as naturally as possible. Influenced by his grandfather who cultivated a market garden over 30 years ago, Andrew loves the self reliance of his lifestyle. “I wanted to know the source of my food, as so do many people,” he states. With the exception of a rototiller, Andrew farms with hand tools, the old-fashioned way. For Andrew, living a life of environmental stewardship is a choice that feeds body and soul.
