Deb & Tom Benner
“Visitors come from all over the world to see our farm,” says Deb Benner. She and her husband Tom converted from tobacco to naturally-grown herbs in 2003. The farm now features 15 acres of cultivated herb gardens, greenhouses, a waterfall, a full-service tea room and a farm gate store. The transition from “tobacco to tarragon” has been rewarding for Tom and Deb – they have saved the farm for future generations and their children now work alongside them – but also award-winning: they recently earned the Premier’s Award for Agri-innovation.
