Drumlin Farm

Gerry & Sue Stephenson

Drumlin Farm is a private farm of 78 acres located just a few kilometres south-east of Guelph about 60 kilometres west of Toronto, just north of the 401. In the last few years the farm has been in transition from being leased out to a large commercial operation to a market garden organic farm. Some twenty acres are now fully certified by Ecocert, with the remainder to be certified this year! The farming operation is confined to vegetable rotations (no animal husbandry), with an emphasis on heritage varieties, and best practice soil management. In 2011 we are planting strawberries and raspberries, as well as a variety of melons. Mission: To preserve ecosystems for local plants and animals while using the land to produce quality food for people. Vision: Our vision is to create a model of food production for humans, while restoring healthy environments for both wildlife and people. Values: “All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all.” Cecil Frances Alexander 1818-1895
