Meng Karbach has been working in the food industry for over 25 years as a certified chef. Her experience ranges from working with Mövenpick restaurant where she was one of the leading pioneers on the Marché concept to Specialist Product Developer for Loblaws, Sobeys & Metro. Meng was also involved in the Knives & Forks Organic Market during its early days (founders chefs Jamie Kennedy & Michael Stadtländer) when it was a weekly event hosted on the sidewalk of Mövenpick at York Street.
During her tenure in Germany, she started to delve into organic vegetable growing for Hotel Altes Tör. As a chef, Meng noticed that produce available in the GTA Toronto market was very limited and inconsistent. It was because of this, that spurred Meng back into growing her own unique vegetables. This led to the conception of Food 4 Life Market Garden which focuses on nutritious, tasty, healthy and interesting vegetables.
